Do you know what February 17th is? Not only is it Presidents Day, but it is also National Random Acts of Kindness Day!
At Better Bookkeepers we believe that you should take every opportunity you can to spread kindness in a world that can so often be lacking it. For this reason, we decided to write 25 ways you can show kindness to someone you love, or even a complete stranger, as a way of celebrating this national holiday.
Lets make the world a more kind place, one act at a time!
Tell someone you care about good morning or goodnight.
Write kind sticky notes on a coworkers desk.
Leave quarters at a laundromat.
Send an encouraging email (or a few!)
Start a piggy bank for a cause or charity.
Write a positive review for a local business online.
Remind someone of their best qualities.
Leave a surprise for your mail carrier in your mailbox.
Send someone a care package.
Pay it forward at Starbucks.
Donate old blankets and towels to a local animal shelter.
Make homemade dog treats and deliver them to an animal shelter.
Place a jar of pennies by a wishing fountain.
Send someone flowers.
Leave a generous tip for your server.
Let someone go in front of you in line.
If you see a piece of litter, pick it up.
Compliment a stranger.
Offer a night of free babysitting for a young family.
Email your child’s teacher and let them know all the reasons you appreciate them.
Don’t honk the horn (even if they deserve it)
Put money in an expired parking meter.
Find out what food your local homeless shelter might need and post on Facebook asking friends to donate.
Lend a listening ear to someone who needs it.
Most importantly, be kind to yourself!
We hope we helped you find the perfect way to spread kindness not only today, but every day!
